Islam is the religion of all prophets

Islam is not a new Religion started by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) around 1400 years ago. It is the Continuity of Divine Messages, in essence, the same message and guidance which God revealed to all prophets who came before Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), right from the time of prophet Adam (peace be upon him).

• God says in the Glorious Qur'an, "Say (O Muhammad): We believe in God and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrahim (prophet Abraham), Ismail (prophet Ishmael), Ishaq (prophet Isaac), Yaqub (prophet Jacob) and Al-Asbat (the offspring of the twelve sons of prophet Jacob) and what was given to Musa (prophet Moses), Isa (prophet Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to Him (God) we have submitted." [Al-Qur'an: Chapter 3, Verse 84]

God has sent number of messengers and prophets to guide humanity. The Qur'an mentions 25 of them by name, among them Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, John, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). There are, however, many others who are not named. All of them have brought the same message, that is "There is only ONE God".

• God says in the Qur'an, "And We sent not before you (O Muhammad) any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me (Alone)." [Al-Qur'an 21:25]

So the massege of Islam is not anything new which is started from Muhammad (peace be upon him), rather it is the same truth proclaimed by all the Prophets before. Thats why we find today the same massege of 'Monotheism' in All the previous scriptures of major religions, whether it be Veda, Upanishad, Psalms, Torah or Bible.

But during the passage of time the previous scriptures are distorted by the followers. And whenever the message delivered by the previous prophet has been corrupted or distorted by their followers, God sent a new prophet with a new book again. And this process was continued until there came the Last and Final prophet. Today we see, the previous scriptures has been mixed with philosophical speculations, superstitions, myths, and neglect.

We come to know about the corruption of the previous scriptures from this verse of Qur'an, where God says:

• "(And remember) when God took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made!" [Qur'an 3:187]

But as Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last and final Messenger, God Himself has taken the duty to protect the book revealed on him (that is Qur'an) untill the last day:

• God says, "We have, without doubt, sent down the Qur'an; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." [Qur'an 15:9]

And finally my dear brothers and sisters in All faith! Ponder over this verse where our Lord, the Almighty God is telling us somthing to reflect in:

• "O People of the (previous) Scriptures! There has come to you Our (final) Messenger (Muhammad) to make clear to you the religion after a period of suspension of messengers, lest you say, “There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner.” But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And God is over all things competent." [Qur'an 5:19]
